The mixture of stainless The most recent 1.5 years experience has been an iPhone Xs Max as a daily driver. I have been using the battery case during most of those months. My battery health, at present, is 91%. My conclusion is that the battery case does NOT adversely affect an iPhone's battery health. Hope that answers your question.
